A manager (a little higher than my direct manager in the food chain) who I worked with for 1 month ruined an entire appraisal result of mine and brought down my score by more than an entire point on a 5 point scale, ~4+ to 3.1. This score leaves me way below my peers, even though my outputs were superior than theirs. My direct manager who is quitting due to the attitude of the senior management.

So my question here is:

Is it worth considering to stay at this firm?

  1. Given that I know for sure that all the feedback i received from rest of my peers was positive and a single person completely ruined my entire rating and there is nothing stopping them from doing it again.

  2. My direct manager who happens to be the only technically sound person as of now in the company and with him gone I can neither expect growth technically nor hierarchically within the company

  3. Would a career gap created due to this issue (let's assume a couple of months) cause any problems in my future career

Also, I have ~1.4 yrs of experience and I do not have any financial issues and mostly go back to school and try out doing a post-graduation or start a startup with a friend of mine.
