In small description.
I am looking for job change and I have been contacted by an Employer.
Had several rounds of interviews and finally got selected and salary negotiations happened.

The presented salary after all the negotiations was not suiting though I have clearly indicated for one figure, But they never agreed on it and kept on negotiating.

Then I have not selected the offer, Next day Employer contacted and said to re-negotiate and after some discussions the number which I have asked previously they agreed on it.

Now the confusion is, Should I go with it or not as, After declination of offer only they agreed for re-negotiating.

Is it normal? (May be it is, But I have not came across this scenario till now)

Thanks,

  • You got the offer you wanted, what's the problem? You showed them you don't need the job for anything less than X, and now they're quite certain of it and offered you X. You called their bluff.

Right now, it's a seller's market for IT. If you have any skills at all, you are in the driver's seat.

So, yes, this is normal. They probably tried to low-ball the salary, saw you wouldn't take it, and came back for what you wanted because they realized that they're not going to get anything cheaper.
