In my contract I have a clause that says "[...] in case that employer leaves before 12 months period, the employer [...]". It'll say that employer shall deduct some expenses from my final salary which he took when hiring me.

My question is, having 1 month termination notice, what's the earliest time I can give notice to avoid this deduction? May I give this notice in the 11th month thus working total 12 months or do I have to work full 12 months before giving notice (thus essentially working 13 months)?

I'm working in Australia
