Name of problem with an interviewer and should training be warranted?

If an interviewer interjected often during an interview with um, eem or I see, aha and so on, all quiet and under their breath, would you think this is proper?
Also, can you tell me if there is a name for this, that is, the interviewer interjecting.

Its called active listening. I would almost rather someone do this than stare blankly at me. It's also possible this person wanted to talk and you wouldn't let them in
