I was staffed in this project after worrying during an idle phase.
I was delighted indeed, but week after week (this is my fourth week), I've noticed that the project manager was ignoring me.
He didn't even introduce me to the different members of the team, nor do I know my perimeter.
I thought it was strange, but things would go smooth in a few days, next week or the week after.
To my surprise, I met someone today who himself was staffed this week, and in the middle of the conversation, they mentioned someone's name, it's the name of the guy I replaced, they told me he was sleeping on the desk because he was doing nothing at all.
I am worried because this guy was staffed four months before my coming and resigned, and now, they chose me to replace him.
Was I chosen to get bored and follow him and resign?

"Was I chosen to get bored and follow him and resign?" - maybe. You might want to talk with your manager.
