I'm a software developer with 8 years of experience.
I'm thinking about taking a 2 or 3 months break to work on my interview skills and to get some hands on experience (open source projects) on the technologies I'm interested in (and really, above all having fun learning).
Is this a good idea ? Would a gap of 2 to 6 months look bad on my resume ?
