This isn't my puzzle (none have been so far), but one I found.

Rebus

Taking the image above, please answer the three questions:

  1. Why is he likely to succeed in life?

  2. How do we know he's reached middle age

  3. What does this indicate about his occupation or interests?

Personally I find the third one a bit of a stretch, but you lot are much more clever than me.

HINT For #3:

Camping isn't an awful clue for part of this one. Take in where he is, and what else XL may mean (keep it simple).

          Partial answer

          1. Why is he likely to succeed in life?

He is bound to excel (XL)

          2. How do we know he's reached middle age

He is over 40 (XL in Roman numerals)

          3. What does this indicate about his occupation or interests?

He could be an undercover attaché (under cover attached)?
He is certainly a-gent of some variety.

          • Damn this makes more sense than my answer for number 1. (also your number 2 is a more rebus'y wording than mine)

          • Very good! Frighteningly quick, too. I'll add a hint for the third one later today if no one else gets it!

          • #3 is still off, I added a hint for it. Again, it's a bit of a stretch, but common in terms of rebus's and puns.

          See @hexomino's answers for 1 and 2.

What does this indicate about his occupation or interests?

XL also means eXtra Large, so he is a bigger fella that is into large portions of food and requires XL clothing?
