My sister has been working for this pharmaceutical company in India for over a year. While she joined last year, they promised her a raise at the six months mark but they didn't keep the promise. She talked to them about it twice and they keep asking her to wait. Now it's Diwali which is a huge festival in India, and her coworker who has been in the company for two years received twice the amount as a bonus. What is the best way to talk about this with the HR? Please don't suggest to leave the job and find something else, we all know it's super hard to find a new job. Thanks!

  • This strikes me as probably too broad. Best in what way? It probably depends a lot on the company, the specific boss, and the specific HR personnel involved.
