I'm currently trying to move from a back-end position to a front-end one. I have a degree in graphic design and I use programs related to it on my freetime, but I don't have actual work experience in the field.
I've been to five different interviews in the past month to designer positions and everything seems well, we have a good chat and the interviewers seem positive and give good feedback. In the end, they always still contact me saying "Sorry, we went for someone more experienced. You were a good candidate, though!"
This is not the first and definitely not the last time this has happened, but I am getting kind of tired of all this. I feel like I'm being dragged on with false hope. Do I even have a chance at getting on this field if this is always the result? How can I gather experience if don't even have a chance of getting employed?

There are a few somewhat distinct questions in your post: how to get hired without experience, how to make a career change to a new field, how to evaluate "we went with someone more experienced". Partial answer to the latter is that 5 rejections ultimately isn't that many as graphic design is a competitive field and you will be up against more experienced candidates. Whether to draw conclusions already is hard to say.
