I was transferred to Dubai in 2017 as a director where i currently serve, and have just recently realised theres an amazing opportunity open up recently within the org but in the US. I am almost two years in this position but my situation is sensitive to say the least.
The current site where i am is going through some heavy attrition and employee issues which has completely nothing to do with me. I also like my current org a lot and want to apply for this new position where iâÂÂd be more productive than the one i am in right now.
My gut feeling is that it may not be perceived in the correct light or worse could look like i am abandoning a sinking ship to serve my own selfish purpose and look for more greener pastures. I am really conflicted about this decision, and the new position in the US seems very very exciting. Plus, my managers would most certainly have my back but the timing just doesnt feel right.
Any advise as to what would be the best approach in this situation?
Thank you
