How to communicate that i want to reduce my working time by an hour?

so currently im doing an unpaid internship in scope of my job school which lasts 6 months. Now im 2 months in and I enjoy it there, the rule of the contract from my school are basicly 6-8 hours a day, so I agreed to 7 hours a day with my boss.



Now I have a personal coding project which consumes a lot of time and I also code there so im basicly really bloated in my head and I would like to reduce the working time by an hour to 6 hours.



I am 100% sure that my overall productivity will be the same if not higher and you also have to consider that I do it unpaid.



How would you approach such a thing, im really bad in interpersonal stuff like that to talk about it so im seeking for help here.
