I have been senior software engineer in my current company for last two years. I see very much Favoritism in company especially in the team I currently worked with.

I have worked for the company with so much passion and without any complain. I have listed some important incidences/points as below.

  1. I have worked more than 10 hours on some days when some request with high priority comes.

  2. I have also worked after office hours sometimes just because there were lack of resources for the work, like remote servers were used by some other developers whole day so I had to wait for everyone to go home and then work on the remote server.

Points why I feel favoritism:

  1. I sometimes feel that my team lead does not like me to be in his team. He never talks with me with smiling face, but he would do the same with some selected team members.

  2. He also requested a developer from the other team to join our team when one senior developer left the company but didn't consider me for that responsibility.

Concerns:
I always do extra efforts in my work. I have helped almost all team members with the difficulty of their tasks. Even two of my senior team members have stated many times before everybody that they have learned many things from me.

Until now I fought the situation and tried my level best but from last few days I just feel like giving up the company and start looking for new job for me.

I think talking to the team lead in person will make the situation worse.
What should I do?
