I am 26, I will have on Monday an interview as team leader, this means that I will manage a team of 8 people in IT. I never managed anyone, it would be my first managerial role.
Do you have some tips that I should use during the interview? Some characteristics/features that a leader should show on the interview? Like strength or leadership or something else.

Thanks.

  • "Questions asking for advice on what to do are not practical answerable questions (e.g. "what job should I take?", or "what skills should I learn?"). Questions should get answers explaining why and how to make a decision, not advice on what to do. For more information, click here." – Elysian Fields

Did you search the site for 'team lead'? That would give you a lot of background info already.

  • Eight is quite a bite to chew for a first time managing, are you task managing them, or line managing as well? I'd recommend starting with a couple of people initially, you'll spend most of your time just keeping things going if you are starting to learn how to manage.
