I am working in a software company and I have total IT experience of more than 9 years. I always think of getting work done with peace and harmony and never raise voice on any one and never play any politics because I think that whatever you think in daily life you will get same in response. Before joining to this company I always work in lower-medium size company and was team leader in a previous organization. In that company I was always helping my team members even if their question is very small or silly. At the same time my project manager is always rely on me for getting any details which actually he has to tell me.
Now I switched to one big company in which technology, process and culture all are different and main thing is that the tool in which they are working is a proprietary tool and has no information in internet. Most of the guys in this application are of 2-3 years experience(Total 40) but working in same tool from that amount of time. Now in this situation I need to ask them questions regarding this tool and implementation but mostly they don't entertain my questions. Their body language is just like I am a idiot person and I don't know even a small thing. They told me complete information is given in document and read it, but after reading that document also there are so many questions in my mind and due to their behavior I feel hesitate to ask them question . When I keep this point in front of a Senior Team Lead instead of helping me he told me that after so much experience you should have the ability to do all this by your own and even 1-2 experience guys are doing the same thing by their own. I tried to convince him by explaining my situation but he didn't convinced by my explaination.
Now I am in a very frustrated and deadlock like situation. I am not getting help from junior guys and as well as senior guys. I am trying hard to do things from my own but even after lot of efforts they find mistake on that and their body expressions are horrible.
I am feeling too much frustrated and feeling like resign from this job but as I am married with 2 kids I am unable to do the same and because of lot of time I am giving to this project I don't have enough time to prepare for me interview to switch to new company.
This situation has terribly hampered my belief on what you think and behave with other same you get in response. I am literally in a horrible situation and need your help to get out of this situation

It should be in your manager's best interests for you to succeed. See if he can help you locate training, documentation, and other resources. If source code is available, spend some time reverse engineering it. If you have source code history, see what sort of code changes are associated with what kinds of tasks.

My question here is how to overcome this situation and what to do to deal this situation

It should be in your manager's best interests for you to succeed. See if he can help you locate training, documentation, and other resources. If source code is available, spend some time reverse engineering it. If you have source code history, see what sort of code changes are associated with what kinds of tasks.
