I am planning to move from London to Cambridge area and I am very puzzled about what career choice to make.
I have been working mainly as a PHP developer for 1 year and 6 months (first graduate job) and some Java and vanilla JavaScript. I'm also taking Kafka course at work. I'm probably best with Android development, it's something I do for fun at home.
I really dislike PHP so I want to use this opportunity to move away from PHP and work with either Java or JavaScript or ideally Android developer (but there aren't many android dev positions around Cambridge so not really considering this :(. )
I have 7 months to pick one technology and learn it really well plus develop small side project with it to get more experience.
What would you recommend to chose for the highest salary that could match what I'm earning (40k<)?
Would switching languages mean I would have to start out as a junior with low salary again?
Or would it be better to go full stack?
Advice would be very appreciated :)

VTC, there are too many variables and we can't make this decision for you. This question may not have much long standing value for future visitors as languages and salary ranges are constantly changing
