I'm new to this website. A little background history on me:
At 15 I was diagnosed with anxiety and ADD (I know many don't believe in this but that's not the point for my post). When I tried to become a teacher and was wrapping up internship about a year ago, I started practicing in a 4th grade classroom which consisted of primarily students with mental difficulties such as behavioral issues and the teacher was impatient and going through multiple life struggles of her own outside of the classroom. I tried so hard to pass my final step of internship but broke into sobs and felt useless. They withdrew me from internship and I'm trying to find a different route.

I started my first receptionist job at a veterinary clinic about 5 months ago to make money. I was waking up every morning to a panic attack before having to go to work and would cry and feel useless and stupid that I messed up "even at a receptionist job". The docs and tech in the back constantly gave me looks of disapproval/annoyance. I always left feeling miserable. Fast forward a bit and I started getting the hang of it for a few months...and then Friday happened. There were multiple mistakes brought to my attention which I assume could have all been mine, not to mention I spilt white out on the floor and couldn't get it up. I'm bringing things to try and clean it up again. I left feeling utterly useless and dumb on Friday. I guess I am asking to hear others' experiences being a receptionist and for any tips any of you may have. If I'm missing anything then just calmly let me know.
