I am an Asian working as a IT developer in an a Nordic country Bank .It's a big office and around 4k people under the same roof working in various departments.

One day when I went to the toilet nearby my seat and it was dirty as hell (which is usually uncommon ) someone didn't flushed properly and toilet paper and paper napkins were littered everywhere. as i was in hurry i just did my business and came out.

As i came out there were people waiting for their turn outside the door.
A guy who was supposed to go next went inside and noticed the mess, he thought i did that and immediately came out , he gave me very rough look as i was still there filling my water bottle and said some unpleasant words in his language that i couldn't understand (by his face and body language he was not happy).

As people started looking at me i left the scene and returned to my seat.(may be i did wrong there)

I really felt bad that day because i always try to keep things clean and paid for someone else's mistake. What bothers me more that people will now start making assumption that we as a country are dirty and doesn't care about hygiene ( which is not correct).

It has become a very big task for me now going to toilet as i first check if the toilet is not dirty, if it is dirty than i make sure that i clean someone else'e mess before coming out and also avoid the crowded times where there are more people around.

Going to toilet really now feels like me representing my whole country .
